40 Under 40: tech scene nods from Baltimore magazine’s Oct. list

In its October issue, Baltimore magazine profiled 40 Baltimoreans under 40 in a variety of fields: politics, business, science, the arts, nonprofits and technology.
Below we’ve collected all the nods to members of Baltimore’s tech scene.

• Mike Brenner, cofounder of Betamore. (Read about the Betamore Academy, classes in programming for potential startup founders.)
• Jason Corace, a game designer and member of the Interactive Arts department at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
• James Foster, cofounder of cybersecurity startup Riskive. (Read about Riskive’s flagship product, a tool for protecting social media accounts from hackers.)
• Jess Gartner, founder of edtech startup Allovue, a 2013 graduate of AccelerateBaltimore now headed to the Socratic Labs edtech accelerator in New York City.
• Sean Lane, cofounder of Betamore and BTS Software Solutions who recently moved to Ohio to work on his next company, health IT startup CrossChx.
• Jennifer Meyer, the COO of the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore as well as a co-organizer of Ignite Baltimore. (Read about September’s Ignite Baltimore.)
• Christopher Sachse, founder of IT outsourcing company Horsetail Technologies.
• Mike Subelsky, co-organizer of Ignite Baltimore and a cofounder of advertising technology startup Staq, which is now paying beginning developers to learn Ruby programming as temporary employees of the startup.
• Jessica Watson, graphic designer and owner of JWatson Creative design studio, as well as the head of B’More Creatives, a networking group for Baltimore women in creative fields.
• Rochelle Williams, a member of the National Society of Black Engineers’ Public Policy Interest Group who advocates for women to become involved in STEM careers.
