Secret’s out: Grads of UD’s computer science program are among nation’s best paid

The school beat out some serious Ivy League contenders.

According to data from Payscale.com, the University of Delaware has the fourth highest-paying computer science program in the country, beating out usual suspects like MIT, Stanford and Northwestern.
The median mid-career salary of a graduate of the program is $143,000, with the median early-career salary being $66,700.
It gets better.
While the big-name private schools naturally have a low acceptance rate for their programs (5.1 percent for Stanford, 7.9 percent for MIT), the University of Delaware’s acceptance rate for its computer science program is 68 percent.
UD came right behind Columbia University, University of California, Berkeley and University of California, Santa Barbara.
