The first half of 2019 is over. Don’t panic — you still have plenty of time to set and meet your goals, but you only have a couple months to enjoy the summer. It can get pretty crowded with tourists around D.C., so here is a list of drivable getaways perfect for this time of year.

Rockville-based software company Motionsoft has announced a fundraising round that it secured $17 million. Creating products that serve the health and wellness industry, Motionsoft says that the new round of funding will help grow its products and people, so be sure to check out its jobs page.

Peering and internet exchange points (IXP) are new concepts for the area, so we spent time with the network engineer making this happen in Baltimore. Devin Weaver, founder of BaltIX, gives us a quick lesson on the technology and its benefits to the city. Accessibility Month just ended, but the concept of an inclusive digital age will definitely continue to be a major push for organizations. In order to help you talk the talk, we built a glossary based on local experts’ suggestions of the terms they think everyone should learn.
