After a summer break, Open Data Delaware kicked off a new season of Code & Coffee and Newark Codes. The mission is the same — to use data to improve communities in Delaware through projects involving people of different skill levels and experiences — but the look of the ODD brand has been updated.
The new design is brighter and cleaner, with a stylized abstract network motif. If you follow ODD on social media, you’ve probably seen it:

Freelance graphic designer Betsey Suchanic, an ODD organizer, took on the rebranding.
“Revisiting our brand gave us a chance to clarify our work and be intentional in advocating, educating, and building civic technology solutions with open data as we continue to grow,” she said. “The ODD look changed to better reflect our mission — the new logo captures both the importance of the sharing and openness across our communities and provides visual cues referencing the technical work we conduct.”
While the new season has technically started, the party is still to come, with a beginning-of-the-season happy hour Sept. 26 at Grain Craft Bar + Kitchen.
