Harper is taking over for Megan Anthony-Keogh, a longtime fixture of the Wilmington tech scene who now lives in Philadelphia and works for wearable-tech company ROAR for Good, and Pauline Rubin, cofounder of First Ascent Design. Both are moving on, due to time constraints and new projects.

In March, Harper taught a GDI “Intro to Javascript” class at The Mill. Girl Develop It, a national organization based in Philadelphia, offers affordable programs for adult women interested in learning web and software development in a judgment-free environment.
Delaware has become an increasingly important location for Girl Develop It, whose national team recently piloted its first program to teach code to prisoners at Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution in New Castle.
