This week ends with DevFest.
The deep-dive event, organized primarily by the local Google Developers Group chapter, is set for Friday afternoon at the Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship in Columbia.
The event runs from 2-8 p.m., bringing a quarter-day’s worth of lightning and tech talks.
Emily Rasowsky of the Women in Tech Campaign is the keynote, with a talk titled “Hacking the Definition of Women in Tech.” Also speaking is local drone expert Terry Kilby, whose recently-released book Getting Started with Drones just was named a No. 1 new release on Amazon in the Aeronautical Engineering category.
On the Google side of things, Bret McGowen of Google will demo Google Cloud Spin, and Dinesh Ganesan of GDG Baltimore will talk about mobile tech in government and enterprises.
