MILLSUMMIT 2023 is less than a month away! Where did the time go?

MILLSUMMIT is Spur Impact’s multi-day gathering for Delaware’s aspiring, upcoming and established business leaders, creatives and entrepreneurs. If you have yet to experience the annual event, know that it’s really one of the best ways to meet people, network and discover what’s happening in Delaware and beyond — which is why Technical.ly has been a MILLSUMMIT media partner pretty much since it began.

And if you’ve passed on the event in the past because of its original name, The Millennial Summit, and you’re of an older or younger generation, be assured that it’s an intergenerational event focused on learning and growing.

“We’re creating a platform where ideas can flourish,” said Maria Longhorn, one of the executive co-chairs for the 2023 conference. “At the MILLSUMMIT, we’re fostering conversations that drive us forward both professionally and personally. It’s a one-of-a-kind opportunity for people from all walks of life to connect with like-minded individuals who share a common goal of making a positive impact in their communities right here in Delaware.”

This year, like last year, will feature two days at The Queen (Aug. 8 and 9) with keynotes and panels that will be livestreamed for folks who prefer or require a virtual experience. Topics on Tuesday focus on entrepreneurship and include team and business building, business certification, the creative economy and AI, while Wednesday will focus on leadership, including panels on DEI, finance and mental health.

Among the many speakers (a full schedule is here) are keynote speakers Tori Dunlap, founder of Her First $100K, and Genein Letford, CEO of CAFFE Strategies. Expect fireside chats with FunkkOFF! founders Joelle Flynn and Sonia Hounsell, as well as Benjamin Wagner, the principal of Essential Industries.

After the summit on Thursday is the Leadership Dinner, requiring an additional ticket, where the 2023 Impact Awards honorees will be announced.

Day 3 on Friday will be a VIP half day at Barclays in Wilmington, also requiring an additional ticket. That event features a fireside chat with Ray Dempsey, group chief diversity officer for Barclays, and a session featuring Gen Z future leaders.
