This Week in Jobs: End-of-Summer Edition Is for the Engineers

And also for P. Diddy's approach to summer wear.

Editor’s Note: Every week we ship an email newsletter featuring the region’s most exciting career opportunities. We’ve lovingly called it This Week in Jobs (aka TWIJ (“twidge”) here at Technical.ly HQ). Below is this week’s edition. (Here’s the last one we published on the site (it’s meant to live in your inbox).)

I’ll Be Missing You

According to the rigid laws of seasonal fashion, we only have ten (10) days left to wear white before becoming social outcasts.

Let’s do it up, shall we? Take those white hoodies out for one last strut around the park, Diddy-style. Or throw them a bleach party! But keep the windows open. That can turn into a very different kind of party very fast.

Before breaking out the bleach, take a look at the white-hot jobs we’ve got for you this week.

The News

Swiss sensor-solutions manufacturer TE Connectivity cozied up to big wigs like Google and Walmart on Fortune’s 2018 “Change the World” list. The list features companies that make the world a better place while still bringing in a billion buck-a-roos a year. TE came in at No. 32 (out of 57) for its pollution-reducing, clean vehicle technology. Be the change you want to see and apply to work at its U.S. HQ in lovely Berwyn, Pa.

Polish off your resume and perfect that firm but friendly handshake. Networking season is nigh. First up is the mother of all meetups on Sept. 25, Super Meetup Philly. The following month, head just outside Philly proper to the NET/WORK Suburbs event at Turn5’s Paoli HQ on Oct. 17. The events are low on snootiness, high on relaxed vibes and the place to establish valuable relationships. NET/WORK Suburbs even offers free professional headshots, a resume review and bowling. Register for the event here.

Good things come in small(er) packages. Visual marketing platform Curalate just traded in it’s 10,000-square-foot office at 2401 Walnut for a more intimate hub at Eight Penn Center. After a recent bout of layoffs, the company says it’s smaller, faster and servicing more clients than ever before. Check out the new digs when you apply for one of its fresh job openings.

The Jobs

Engineers, the jobs are plentiful and most interesting:

Creative marketers, it’s your turn in the spotlight:

  • ReachMobi is looking for a creative Biddable Media Manager who lives and breathes digital media. Hopefully you get some oxygen in there when you can. Not many can pull off the mobile air tank look.
  • ERP software developer Deacom seeks a Creative Tech Content Writer who can confidently whip a technical topic into an articulate, relatable read. Eagle eye for grammar is a big plus.

The Rest

We hope you found an opportunity that got you excited and ignited Puff Daddy levels of swagger. If not, stay up-to-date on job postings daily, share the love with job-seeking friends and join us again next week!

Happy job hunting!
