Fresh off raising $53M, LiquidHub CEO named new PACT chairman [Startup Roundup]

Fame House opens a Dutch office, Zuppler's online ordering platform adds 250 hotels and Curalate builds out its design team. It's the Startup Roundup.

WHO’S MAKING MOVES?

PACT, the 30-year-old entrepreneurship network, just appointed a new chairman: LiquidHub CEO Jonathan Brassington. Brassington was voted in by the board last week, said PACT CEO Dean Miller through a spokeswoman. He’ll replace former chairman Marc Lederman, general partner at NewSpring Capital, who has completed his two-year term. LiquidHub, which sells customer engagement software to corporations, raised $53 million in April.

Cloudamize, the Center City company whose software helps business optimize their cloud usage, said that, out of the 77,000 instances of Amazon Web Services cases they analyzed, nearly 70 percent weren’t using the most cost-efficient pricing plan. Download the infographic here.

Curalate, which is hiring like mad in light of its recent $8.6 million raise, is building out its design team. Helmed by Melissa Morris Ivone (one of the company’s earliest employees), the team now includes Andy O’Dore, who used to work at design agency ThinkBrownstone, and Alexander Mayes, who used to work at URBN retailer Free People. They both joined Curalate in May.

Fame House, the electronic music digital marketing company that was acquired in fall 2013 by SFX, opened an office in the Netherlands, according to their blog.

Here’s My Chance, the Impact Hub-based digital agency, hired Katelyn Joyce as its senior account manager. Joyce was formerly project manager at Center City’s Munroe Creative Partners.

Zuppler, the online food ordering platform, is now powering the online (and mobile) ordering for 250 Choice Hotels around the country, according to a release. Those hotels include Quality Inn, Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Econo Lodge and the Rodeway Inn.
