A piece of advice from Natalie Nixon, who runs Philadelphia University’s Strategic Design MBA program: Get out of your office. Get out there and do some “deep observation” of your target customer.
On this month’s Technical.ly Podcast, we asked Nixon to offer a few tips and tricks for technologists looking to incorporate design thinking into their work routine. For one, she suggested channeling design thinking’s “human-centric” approach and remembering to focus on the people who will be using your product. Stats and market research are important, but so are interviews and observation, she said.
