What kids can learn from all-day gaming

Esports company Nerd Street had a packed summer teaching kids in gaming camp, hosting a partnership with professional soccer team the Union and partnering with other organizations in its space, Localhost.

But the summer wasn’t just fun and games. Nerd Street’s programming teaches kids buildable skills like communication and teamwork to build their future careers.

Wissahickon Valley fights climate change

Wissahickon Valley Park lowers the city’s temperatures, reduces its carbon footprint, protects the water supply and mitigates floods.

The park is also home to local conservation group Friends of Wissahickon, which preserves and maintains the park for public use. The org also offers opportunities for visitors to learn about the wildlife and how to preserve it.
