IRL networking beats online job hunting

In total, Technical.ly’s annual job fair saw about 250 attendees this year as part of Philly Tech Week 2024. That’s a feat considering how much the job market is changing.

Technical.ly took the opportunity to ask attendees what value an in-person job fair still has. From looking for their first opportunity in tech to simply seeing what the market looks like, here’s what they said.

Strategist urges women leaders to “be bold”

Despite studying psychology in college, Donna Meshaka now leads alliance management in the US at KPMG, one of the biggest accounting firms in the world.

The Big Four accounting firm leader discussed with Technical.ly how empowering it is to have a successful career, as well as overcoming resistance to tech, the artificial intelligence frontier and how to be a good manager.
