Network Security Engineer

Brooksource is looking for a remote Network Security Engineer to be a part of our Fortune 500 healthcare insurance client's team. This individual will be supporting an acquisition integration and cyber-security remediation effort. The Network Security Engineer will be doing day to day network management.

*Minimum Qualifications:*
* 3+ years of network engineering experience.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
* Palo Alto experience or NGFW (Next Generation Firewall) - Proven experience on past projects with implementing IPSec site to site VPN. Experience with operations within Azure.
* Familiarity with Juniper OS - to include upgrading, making configuration changes on platform.
* Azure routing, Network security groups (Virtual networking, access management)

*Responsibilities:*
* Support the integration of acquired networks into the existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and security compliance.
* Maintain Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) solutions, with a focus on Palo Alto Networks technology.
* Configure and manage IPSec site-to-site VPNs to establish secure communication channels.
* Manage operations within Azure, particularly focusing on VPN and IPSec connections.
* Maintain GlobalProtect remote access VPN solutions.
* Handle Juniper OS, including platform upgrades and configuration changes, ensuring network stability.
* Ensure security best practices are followed, particularly in Azure Active Directory, Entra, and other Microsoft platforms.
* Manager Azure routing and Network Security Groups (NSGs), ensuring virtual networking and access management are properly configured.
