*Position/Project Overview:*
Verra Mobility is seeking an experienced and strategic Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our Edge Engineering team, with a focus on embedded systems, system builds, and unique form factors for vehicle integration. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong technical background in embedded software, system development, and complex project management.
As a TPM, you will work closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, product management, quality, and operations to drive program success in embedded systems and edge computing solutions, particularly those involving vehicle integration. You’ll leverage your expertise to translate business requirements into technical specifications, facilitate communication across engineering teams, and ensure the successful and timely delivery of high-quality edge computing products.
*Qualifications:*
* *Education: *Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
* *Experience: *Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical program management, with a focus on embedded systems that involve Software and Hardware Integration.
* *Technical Skills:* Proficiency in using Miro for visual management, Jira for Agile project management, and creating interactive dashboards.
* *Project Management: *Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, risk management, and budget planning.
* *Communication:* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
* *Problem-Solving:* Demonstrated ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and develop actionable solutions.
* *Collaboration:* Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
* *Continuous Improvement:* Familiarity with Gemba, Kaizen, Problem Solving Report (PSR), Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
*Essential Responsibilities:*
* *Program Management:* Oversee the end-to-end delivery of technical programs, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budget. Manage all aspects of program execution, including planning, scheduling, quality control, risk management, and communication.
* *Technical Expertise:* Lead technical discussions and decision-making processes, leveraging in-depth knowledge of embedded systems, hardware platforms, and system integration.
* *System Design & Integration:* Manage and guide the integration of software on hardware platforms, ensuring compatibility and seamless performance.
* *Software Deliverables Management:* Organize and oversee software deliverables, ensuring development aligns with project timelines. Hold internal teams and suppliers accountable to schedules and performance expectations.
* *Hardware Deliverables Management: *Oversee the timely development and delivery of hardware components, ensuring alignment with program objectives. Provide risk mitigation strategies and drive execution with a focus on velocity and efficiency.
* *Senior Executive Communication:* Serve as a key liaison between technical teams and senior executives, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and strategies.
* *Visual Management:* Develop and maintain dashboards using tools like Miro to track program progress, milestones, KPIs, and visual reports for leadership.
* *Agile Methodology:* Implement Agile practices, including managing Jira workflows, facilitating scrum meetings, and ensuring smooth execution of sprints.
* *Risk Management:* Proactively identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement measures to minimize project impacts for both software and hardware deliverables.
* *Third-Party Collaboration:* Coordinate with third-party vendors and partners to ensure seamless integration and delivery of hardware and software solutions.
* *Supplier Accountability: *Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet project deadlines, deliverables, and performance standards.
* *Budget Planning:* Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met and resources are effectively allocated.
