Job Overview

RL Canning is looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our Managed Services team. In this pivotal role, you will take full ownership of the development tasks and integrations for our corporate ServiceNow instances, playing a critical part in shaping our service delivery.

In this role, you will

Be responsible for the day-to-day platform enhancements within a domain-separated, multi-tenant environment with emphasis on the following modules:
ITSM IT Service Management - Incident, Change, Request Management (Service Catalog).
ITOM - Discovery / Cloud Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping .
ITAM - HAM and SAM, both Base and Pro.
CMDB - Support population via manual client entry and automation (integration via plugins, store apps, or custom).
ITBM/SPM - IT Business Management / Strategic Portfolio Management.
Use web services and other web-based technologies such as XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, REST/SOAP.
Collaborate seamlessly within team environments, demonstrating a strong track record of delivering projects on time while effectively managing multiple priorities in fast-paced settings.
Participate in Release Planning to iterate towards delivering ServiceNow products.
Stay current with your ServiceNow certifications to enhance your expertise and knowledge of the latest industry standards and best practices.
Facilitate orientation for third-party contractors in non-production environments, offering consultative oversight as needed. Actively participate in Application Test Framework (ATF) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) before promoting code to production environments.
Participate daily in Scrum stand-ups to provide a status on user stories.
Maintain instances to be within the current release and not to exceed N – 1.
Perform other tasks as necessary to support and achieve business objectives.

For this role, you will need

6+ years of related experience in ServiceNow, programming JavaScript, configuring complex integrations, and configuring Service Portals.
ServiceNow Application Developer Certification.
ServiceNow Systems Administration Certification.
Experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, Client Scripts, UI Pages, UI Macros.
Experience with ServiceNow client and server-side JavaScript and the ServiceNow APIs, including Integration Hub and Spokes.
Scripted web services, AJAX, Business Rules, JavaScript, SOAP, REST SSO-SAML Setup to facilitate the integration of ServiceNow to 3rd party applications.
Domain separation with multi-tenancy experience is preferred.
Experience presenting and conducting demonstrations with client stakeholders.
Troubleshooting skills and with ability to demonstrate influence in a consultative fashion to internal and client stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or related discipline preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed to support client projects and corporate responsibilities.
