TEDxWilmington wants you to be a part of its ‘tribe’

The recruiting event will include wine and inspiration.

From hosting its annual conference to hosting 26 women speakers from around the world to a surprise visit from Miss Black America at World Cafe Live in downtown Wilmington, there is no doubt that TEDxWilmington had a busy year in 2016. As organizer Ajit George looks forward to 2017, he aims to expand the organization’s “tribe.”
As the organization looks to strengthen its event offerings, it will need more helping hands. This is why George is hosting a recruiting event next week. “You are encouraged but not required to bring a bottle of wine to share with others. We will provide the wine glasses and a community of interesting people to share wine with!” he said in an event announcement.
The event is taking place at the Wilmington Public Library next week on Jan 11. If you’d like to join the program, be sure to get there by 6p.m.

Why wine? George has been known to be quite the connoisseur as he’s the organizer for the local chapter of the American Wine Society, The First State Wine Guild.
Whether you’re a new speaker, volunteer or community organizer, TEDxWilmington will have a place for you.
