The quest to get a Philly chapter of Techstars hasn’t been successful yet, but the Colorado-based accelerator remains interested in the Philadelphia startup scene.
On Oct. 4 KJ Singh — the director of the accelerator’s NYC program — is hopping on the Amtrak down to Philly for a Q&A session with local cofounders.
Before joining the team at Techstars as a mentor to startups, Singh was a management consultant with Booz & Company in NYC, and prior to that he was an investment-banker with Redwood Capital Group.
“This session is intended to demystify the fundraising process and answer questions related to the Techstars application process,” the event invite reads.
WeWork’s 1430 Walnut St. location will host the meetup, as well as office hours with the program director.

To apply for office hours with Singh, fill out this form. And while you’re in there with him, maybe you can ask him why the Philly startup scene hasn’t been able to snag its own pin on the Techstars map.
