DEI-minded execs, mark your calendars.
On Tuesday, May 9, Technical.ly will once again gather the organizations leading the way for a more diverse tech future through Philadelphia’s Tech Industry Partnership. This quarterly meeting allows employers of one of the fastest growing industries to connect directly to gov leaders and each other, creating transparency and a pool of resources.
Participants will share best practices with peers on topics like retention, workforce pipelines and industry outlooks — all with a goal of leading Philly toward becoming the most diverse tech hub in the United States.
The Tech Industry Partnership is a collaboration between the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Commerce and Technical.ly, connecting the government to employers to ensure all stakeholders in Philadelphia’s thriving tech industry have a clear say in its future.
During this first Tech Industry Partnership meeting of the year, our in-person conversation will stem from topics that were shared during our last meeting, ensuring that this partnership is steered by the needs of our community.
Joining our Tech Industry Partnership means you’ll get access to:
- Insight and data from the Department of Commerce, our dedicated partners and our connected newsroom
- A community of like-minded employers, workforce leaders and government representation
- Our exclusive Slack channel where conversations will provide resources, new ideas and interesting reads
This Tech Industry Partnership meeting is part of Philly Tech Week 2023 presented by Comcast, a weeklong series hosted in Philadelphia, featuring events for beginners as well as deeper dives for technologists, entrepreneurs and innovators. Immediately after our Tech Industry Partnership, all guests will be able to attend NET/WORK, a technology jobs fair showcasing vibrant local companies seeking talent, and talented people seeking work.
If you’re interested in attending, please email debora@technical.ly by Thursday, May 4, and we’ll be sure to add you to our list.
