For International Women’s Day, Station-North based video game studio Sparkypants is hosting a stream of its new game.
The all-day stream of Dropzone will raise money for Girls Who Code. The calendar is all filled up from 9 a.m. until 2 a.m.
Sparkypants organizers are inviting women who stream and work in games to play.

Sparkyplants Social Media Manager Cristina Amaya came up with the idea to hold the fundraiser.
“We wanted to contribute positively to women during the day without women,” she said, referring to the call from organizers of the Women’s March to take the day off and avoid shopping. “Since I know there are many women who cannot afford a day off, I thought we’d support each other in other ways.”
The fundraiser, she said, is “by women for women.”
