A middle school VEX robotics team from Baltimore County won the Maryland State Robotics Championship over the weekend, the match that qualifies them to compete in the middle school division of the VEX Robotics World Championship in April.
But the cost of registering for the championship is $750, in addition to travel costs from Maryland to Anaheim, Calif.
So robotics team 351A, the Warp Drivers, is crowdfunding the $5,000 it needs to get to the world championships.

The Warp Drivers, a pair of students who formed their own robotics team outside of school, beat out 27 other teams to secure the Maryland middle school team spot at the 2014 VEX world championship.
