This Seer Interactive event wants to bust some myths about women at work

There is another discussion on women in tech coming up this month.
See, as our reader Gelsey Torres commented in the event preview for Tonic Design’s Sept. 21 women-in-tech roundtable, “having a discussion forum every few years is not going to solve the problem.”
Indeed it’s not. That’s why Seer Interactive, the NoLibs-based marketing agency, is holding an event on Sept. 27 called Women at Work: Busting Myths & Taking Action.
From 2-5 p.m., attendees will hear from three women-in-tech panelists, who will aim to tear down some of the myths that revolve around women in tech, and share some actionable, specific courses of action on bridging the gender gap in tech.
Here’s the speaker lineup:

“Men and women alike, while well-intentioned, may be unintentionally contributing to a wider gender gap without even realizing it — from the words we use to the stories we tell,” reads the event invite.
Here’s a spoiler alert: for the final panel, the speakers will perform a reverse interview on moderator — and Seer founder — Wil Reynolds, with the aim to get a male perspective on the topics of the day.
Now, it may seem women-in-tech events are popular this month (there’s also this inaugural meetup of women in the fintech space), but the discussion has been around in Philly for years.
Though there’s still so much to be said.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to each of the speakers’ charities of choice.
