More than 80 students in grades four through six apply to be part of one of Monarch Academy‘s two FIRST Lego League robotics teams. Only 20 students, however, are able to participate.
The charter school in the Montebello neighborhood is now raising $533 through DonorsChoose to purchase another Lego Mindstorms robotics kit so that the school can field one more FIRST Lego League team and 10 more students can participate in competitive robotics, according to the DonorsChoose page.
