Meetup groups are an excellent way to connect with a group of people around a common topic, and D.C. is full of awesome meetups. In fact, here’s a list of 40 tech Meetup groups in D.C. that we’re keeping an eye on.
However, while options abound, you may have identified a group you’d like to start — a missing link. But then doubt sets in: How should you start? How do you attract members? How do you keep them engaged?
Startup Central will dive into the answers to these questions and more at an event on Dec. 18. The event will explore what Startup Central has identified as the “five critical steps” to creating and maintaining a Meetup group. No need to feel overwhelmed, “there is a method to the madness,” organizers declare.
While Startup Central is not the biggest Meetup community in D.C. (that title belongs to D.C. Tech Meetup, a group that’s also the second biggest on Meetup.com by membership), they do boast around 4,200 members. A good place to start, no?
The workshop will be held at the Startup Central campus in Tysons Corner. Find more information on their (ahem) Meetup page:
