Since announcing in 2015 plans to hire over 1,800 Delawareans for the company’s technology divisions by 2019, JPMorgan Chase has focused on finding the best tech people in the state — and on building an inclusive workforce. The company’s September hiring event stressed diversity, inclusive of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion and physical ability.
The next hiring event is more specific. Women in Technology Networking Reception Event: Attract, Hire, and Retain is specifically designed to bring more female tech professionals to JPMC, in areas including application/agile development, big data, business analysis, cybersecurity, infrastructure engineering, project management, quality assurance and test automation.
The event, which will be held Feb. 22 from 6–8:30 p.m., is also a chance for tech professionals to check out JPMC’s Technology Center at 880 Powder Mill Rd. in Wilmington (on the former AstraZeneca South Campus). Participants will learn about the company’s culture and technology footprint, take a tour of the Tech Center, network and can even interview with a hiring manager for an open role.
Registration is required by Feb. 12.
