It’s lambing season at W.B. Saul High School, and students at the Roxborough school want to share it with the world.
On Friday, W.B. Saul High launched “Ewe Tube,” a livestream of the ewes at their school who are about to give birth. (Two ewes gave birth this past weekend. Unfortunately, we missed it.) Cameras were donated and installed by Newtown-based Security and Data Technologies Inc.
Watch hereAnimal science majors at W.B. Saul have been preparing for lambing season — the time when ewes give birth — by learning “handling practices, herding techniques, and basic animal health care and vaccination protocols,” according to a release. It’s something they do every year, said School District spokeswoman Deirdre Darragh, but this is the first year it’s being broadcast live.
