Aquaponics is the practice of raising fish and plants in a united ecosystem, so that the fish waste becomes plant food. The Ebay Foundation gave $10,000 to pay for a new aquaponics lab in Starrett City, one of only three in New York City public schools, and the only one at an Elementary school, according to News 12 Brooklyn.
