Contactually, a customer relationship management (CRM) platform for real estate professionals and their teams, created a Google Chrome browser extension that allows its users to manage their contact database inside Gmail.

This is the D.C. company’s next step aimed at better integrating its CRM functionality into a user’s everyday workflow already set in place, a press release states.

“We wanted to provide the best aspects of Contactually’s contact management in the environment where agents spend the most time thinking about and communicating with their network—their email. More than 70 percent of Contactually users are on Gmail,” Zvi Band, CEO of Contactually, said in a statement.

Real estate agents can better access Contactually’s features and update contacts right in their Gmail accounts, the press release states. Users can edit contact information as they read and write emails, without leaving the page.

Since the extension launched, Contactually said more than 2,000 of its users have already installed it and agents are using the platform via Gmail twice as much compared to the web platform.

The company said it expects to launch additional enhancements to the extension, like email templates and email scheduling, in the near future.

The free and downloadable Chrome extension is available in the Chrome Web Store now.
