Organizing an event for Baltimore Innovation Week 2017? Here’s what you need to know

The sixth edition of Baltimore Innovation Week runs Sept. 29-Oct. 7. For event organizers, we're making a couple of changes to the community calendar.

The Baltimore Innovation Week community calendar has seen its fair share of awesome events. We’ve seen everything from student-run medical hackathons to HUGE grand opening parties.
Although we’re far from slowing down, we’d like to tighten this ship up. After the calendar jumped from 57 events in 2015 to 69 events in 2016, we heard the same feedback from a large part of the community: “Too many events.”
We listened! The Baltimore Innovation Week 2017 community calendar will be curated and capped at 55 events to encourage collaboration.
With a curated calendar comes a new approval process for submitting a BIW event:

  1. Submit your event proposal with at least two time slots as options.
  2. Wait for our response.
  3. Follow further instructions to get your event live on baltimoreinnovationweek.com
