Temple’s Fox School no longer No. 1 in online MBA rankings [Update]

Temple University’s Fox School of Business has had good news for four winters in a row: The school’s online MBA program has once again been crowned the best in the country by U.S. News & World Report.

In the 2018 Online rankings, the school’s undergrad program also stood out: it held onto its ranking from last year and was named the No. 2 program in the U.S., sharing the slot with Florida’s Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and trailing the No. 1 school, the Ohio State University.

“Our Online BBA is AACSB-accredited, offers six unique majors, and incorporates a live component during which students can interact with one another and their professors via weekly web-conferencing,” said Darin Kapanjie, academic director of the Fox Online MBA and Online BBA programs. “These facets of our program have helped set it apart from the competition.”

The ranking takes into consideration each program’s student engagement, peer reputation, faculty credentials and training, student services and technology and admissions selectivity.

At the school, a digital media team works with faculty to create video content for courses, complete with motion graphics, in the basement of Temple’s Alter Hall, a digital “video vault” serves as a repository for all of Fox’s academic videos. The program also offers on-site videographers and video production technologists.

“What makes our Online MBA program truly special is the ability to tailor it to students’ needs and interests,” Kapanjie said. “We have listened to the market and developed a diverse group of concentrations, dual-degree options, and international immersion opportunities for our online population. As the online market expands, we also are expanding our educational opportunities to meet the needs of tomorrow’s business professional.”
