Any opportunity to meet with entrepreneurs from different backgrounds enriches the Philly ecosystem. That’s why we’re happy to be seeing an uptick in events of this nature around town.
Not too long ago it was a handful of South Korean companies dropping by. A few weeks later, it was Chilean tech CEOs. And now, next week, the African Diaspora Entrepreneurship Network is hosting a symposium where you can meet entrepreneurs from the African diaspora.
The meetup is happening Nov. 3 at Pipeline Philly. It features four panelists:
- Erasmus Mong’are, Executive Director of StartupAfrica.org
- Tiayrra Bradley, founder of Agentile.co and Verbum Dei
- Ebun Olaloye, founder of Live Breath Futbol
- Adesola Ogunleye, founder of Incarnate Coffee

Organizers said the event is an opportunity to empower entrepreneurs from the African diaspora in the Philly area.
“Diaspora entrepreneurs are becoming important change-makers in their country of origin,” the event invite reads. “Having established themselves in the Philadelphia region, these dynamic individuals are now bringing back capital, intellectual expertise, and business acumen to foster entrepreneurship in their country of origin in Africa.”
