On select Mondays at 5:30 p.m. this fall, expect another set of empowering conversations from Great Dames. But this time, they will be held at Harry’s Savoy Grill & Ballroom (2020 Naamans Rd., Wilmington) as the event has outgrown the beloved Pizza By Elizabeths in Greenville. This year’s series is titled “What matters to you?” and will be moderated by Maria Hess.
“It’s a very diverse group [of attendees] from entrepreneurs to corporate to nonprofit to students,” said Great Dames CEO Sharon Hake.
Here’s the lineup:
- Oct. 3: Sharing wisdom across generations: This session will focus on cross-generational learning. The idea was suggested by Wilmington University student Ty Reynolds.
- Nov. 7: Igniting your passion & purpose: The panel at this event will focus on “why” as opposed to “what” in life.
- Dec. 5: Creating change through policy: This event will explore policies that impact women the goal is to cultivate a healthy discussion between the attendees and presenters.
Great Dames has bundled all the events into one package for $99, the price will go up to $125 on Sept. 1. Hor d’oeuvres and soft drinks will be served and a cash bar will be available. The net proceeds from the events go to nonprofits handpicked by the speakers.
You can sign up for one or all of the events here.
