ReturnLogic is a SaaS startup providing an API-driven software platform for ecommerce retailers. The platform allows retailers to automate, measure and optimize product returns and operations — enabling them to scale their stores and grow.
The company believes retailers have a hierarchy of needs. First, a retailer needs to be able to automate certain tasks. They then need visibility into each step in the reverse supply chain. Next, they must optimize each step in the reverse supply chain to create the most profitable return policy. Lastly, they need data and an open API to bring their own tech stack and have returns data flow from platform to platform.
Peter Sobotta started ReturnLogic after years of running an e-commerce business reselling computers and consumer electronics. Through that experience, he saw a great opportunity for optimizing the ecommerce returns experience from customers back to the retailer. As returns prove themselves to be one of the costliest problems facing the ecommerce retail industry, reverse logistics and operations become more important.
ReturnLogic employees say it is a great place to work because everyone on the team has a chance to make a substantial impact on the product and vision, whether you are entry level or a director. Each member of the team has the opportunity to grow and expand their skill set and expertise, and is encouraged to seek out new ways in which they can contribute to the organization’s goals rather than fitting into a cookie-cutter role. The team values all perspectives and is constantly looking for innovative ideas to keep them on the leading-edge.
ReturnLogic is a small team set to experience major growth in the next year — it plans to double the team of 30. They are looking to expand their engineering and marketing teams currently, but will be opening more positions soon. The org is looking for utility players who are excited about diving deep into their own roles and supporting co-workers across teams to reach their goals.
"I’ve worked for ReturnLogic for over two years now. Although the company is small, I find that to be one of the best qualities. Every task you do, no matter how big or small, is impactful and appreciated. I’ve worked for huge organizations where employees can get a bit lost and forgotten. At ReturnLogic, the work I do really matters and I’m surrounded by grateful colleagues. Everyone has a positive outlook and is passionate about the product and customer experience we’re creating. It’s a great place to work."Candra Fried UI/UX Engineer

When someone joins our company, they are encouraged to collaborate with all departments, pursue cross-functional solutions and see where their own interests lie. They will work with their manager to develop their unique career map over time. We also offer training opportunities across all departments!
What is ReturnLogic's approach to work-life balance?
As a fully-remote team, we trust that our employees understand their own schedules and working styles better than we can dictate. Our core working hours are 9AM-4PM Eastern, but we have a flex time policy that can be used for pressing personal reasons. The policy allows people to go offline during core work hours, as long as they make up the time throughout the week.
