Audio is booming, and so is Audacy — the Philadelphia-based multi-platform audio content and entertainment company.
Audacy was founded in 1986 as Entertainment Communications (aka Entercom). In the decades since, Audacy has strategically shifted from radio company to tech company, taking a leading role in audio innovation and continuously introducing new, immersive ways for listeners to engage with and explore music, news and sports via broadcast radio, original podcasts, digital audio platforms and live events.
With every strategic move, Audacy enriches lives and enhances communities through voices people trust and content they love. Building on the legacy and power of radio, the focus on creating unique and exceptional technology has opened up a world of opportunity for tech and tech-adjacent professionals eager to work at the cutting edge of digital streaming, podcasting and entertainment. In the rapidly growing engineering department, devs are innovating on a daily basis to become a first-tier, direct-to-consumer digital audio platform. Members of the small, nimble department are empowered to use creativity when building and designing new systems. And within podcast powerhouses of Pineapple Street Studios, Cadence13 and Podcorn, team members collaboratively exercise their decision-making power to develop shows they believe in and to grow audiences.
With upwards of 500 employees working across the country, Audacy is a large and highly-collaborative company. One of the five objectives of the company is to foster a unified, winning culture that enables each team member to do their very best work. Teams are given the trust, transparency and autonomy to build products, experiences and to create content they are truly passionate about and fans crave.
As the company continues to scale, it is looking for a new wave of diverse talent to fill opportunities in engineering, revenue generation and marketing, business development, analytics, product and product marketing.

“The new stuff we’re trying to do in the audio streaming space is pretty exciting. The types of things we’re working on haven’t really been solved yet. It is cool to be a part of it and watch it grow. We’re rapidly growing and heavily invested in building out our engineering department, so there is a lot of opportunity to find where you fit in.”
Ben Bonora Director of Engineering“Audacy knows the value of podcasts. It never feels like we’re a factory, making shows for reasons we don't understand. We’re encouraged to make great shows that we believe in. When there’s interest in doing the work, and a commitment to what we’re making, everyone shows up that much better. We’re passionate and proud of what we create.”
Je-Anne Berry Executive Producer for Branded Podcasts at Pineapple Street Studios“I love what I do. It’s like playing in a sandbox everyday. Audacy is respectful of my opinions, values what I bring to the table and gives me decision-making power. I’m encouraged to say, ‘You asked me to build it this way, but can we try it this way?’ I feel like I have their full attention.”
Scott Ennover Enterprise Systems Architect, Information TechnologyWhat are some ways Audacy recognizes, rewards and elevates successful employees?
As a large company, we are always looking for ways to highlight our individual team members. Our “Chairman’s Circle” recognizes the top-performing revenue generators across the organization. “Audacy Rewards” enables anyone in the organization to celebrate a colleague who exhibits behaviors associated with our values of Community, Curiosity, Creativity and Courage. The announcement goes out to the entire company and employees receive points which can be redeemed for prizes or merchandise. “Winning@Work” is another way team members are celebrated. Audacy gives away trips to our major events to internal contest winners.
What is Audacy’s approach to work-life balance?
We have an enormous amount of compassion and empathy for people’s personal lives. We prioritize employee wellness and building a realistic work-life balance. Anyone can go to their manager to discuss their needs, address any issues or ask for help prioritizing their workload. It is a very safe environment in which to ask for what you need in order to thrive.
Managers are not tracking your hours, it’s about getting your work done and being productive. We trust our teams to be present and accomplish a lot, but we also trust them to take as much time as they need to have a successful home life. We believe that if you’re not taking care of yourself first, then you can’t do your job well, and it’s important that we strike that balance.
