Science Leadership Academy is a magnet public high school in Center City Philadelphia.
It is a partnership between the School District of Philadelphia and the Franklin Institute, whose board founded the school in fall 2006 with its founding principal Chris Lehmann.
The school was an early adopter of one to one laptop programs, in which all students and faculty used mobile technology for learning. In this and other ways, the school is often associated with education innovation and incorporating technology trends. Its staff, students and faculty are often involved in the Philadelphia tech community.
