Philly Tech Week 2013 Presented by AT&T Media/Transparency

Preview some of the Media/Transparency events that will occur during Philly Tech Week.

That’s just a few of the Media/Transparency track events we have planned for Philly Tech Week 2013 presented by AT&T. Track sponsors include Temple University’s Center for Public Interest Journalism and Technically Philly.

  • BarCamp NewsInnovation and News Hackathon [Saturday, April 27, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.] It’s the annual unconference focused on the future of news, paired with a news hackathon that will hook up reporters and developers to create useful tools for reporting and informing the public.
  • Content Camp [Saturday, April 27, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.] This unconference, focused on content creation and consumption, will run concurrently with BarCamp News Innovation and the News Hackathon. TED.com editor Emily McManus will speak at the event.
  • Getting Technical with Online Media [Wednesday, April 24, 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.] Organized by the Philadelphia Public Relations Association, this panel will  editors and publishers from online media outlets like Philly.com, Flying Kite Media and Patch talking about the impact of their organizations. RSVP by Monday, April 22.
  • The Transformation of  a Digital Incubator [Monday, April 22, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.] The third class of the Project Liberty Digital Incubator is underway. Learn how Philly’s first incubator that’ s housed at a major local media company is changing.
