Almost half of non-native Philadelphia college students surveyed this spring are staying in the region, according to a report by Campus Philly [PDF], a 20 percent jump from just six years ago.
In April and May, the college retention nonprofit surveyed 4,600 students, 48 percent of whom reported they were staying in the region, a total that was just 29 percent in 2004. Philadelphia’s strengths as a city are no doubt shining, but Campus Philly is no doubt proud of its role since launching in 2002.
