PennApps Fellows needs your help

The summer internship program, which provides interns with places to stay, is facing a housing crunch.

PennApps Fellows, the summer internship program that pairs students around the country with Philly tech startups, got 416 applications this year, organizer Fabio Fleitas told us. That’s up from 160 last year, which was the program’s first year.
But the program, which was funded by the city last year and offers housing to every intern, is struggling to fund itself.
Fleitas emailed us:

We’d love to host as many students as possible but we may have to turn down incredible talent because we may not have enough funds to house them. One of the most enticing features of our program is fully subsidized housing, but as you can imagine, it can start costing quite a bit on our part. Since we don’t charge a fee to become a host companies (because we believe everyone should have access to this awesome talent), we are currently looking for more financial donors of our program so that we don’t have to turn down any talented students and to make sure they have an awesome experience in the city.

Reach out if you can help.
