Newark is looking to spiff up its brand

A new logo appears to be in the works.

Newark might be ditching its dusty old logo for a newer, sleeker, more modern design.
The new logo, awaiting approval from city council, is strikingly similar to the one used by the Greater Newark Economic Development Partnership — an organization formed by the University of Delaware, New Castle County Chamber of Commerce and the city of Newark itself.
WDEL reports the city acquired the logo along with the rights to GNEDP.
