Factb.ase, that D.C. firm that recently found President Donald Trump speaks at a fourth grade level, was cited by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night, Jan. 8.
“You know how the president keeps telling us he’s a genius? Well, it turns out he isn’t. I know. I was surprised, too,” Kimmel said in his opening monologue. “There’s a website called Factb.ase that did an analysis of the first 30,000 words spoken in office by every U.S. president since Herbert Hoover. So, they loaded all the speeches in a computer and what their software found is that President Trump speaks at a fourth grade level – lower than any president they’ve ever measured.”
Kimmel leans in to Trump and mentions the study at the 3:40 mark in his monologue.
Factba.se was developed in Washington, D.C. in 2017, with the mission to be the go-to resource for tracking politicians. The study in question used the Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level Test, and said Trump speaks at a lower level than any of the last 15 U.S. presidents.
Congrats DC-based @FactbaseFeed for being featured on tonight’s @JimmyKimmelLive monologue! You are, like, a genius. #dctech pic.twitter.com/yOOuP5c3L4
