Driver crashes into police car, blames Pokémon Go

And the whole thing was caught on body camera.

Three cops were talking after finishing a call outside of Patterson Park on Monday morning, when a car slammed into their police cruiser.
The driver and passengers weren’t injured, and the police were fine since they were on the sidewalk. But the question of how the incident happened still remained.
Given the times we live in, that should be obvious: The man told police he was looking down at his phone because he was playing “Pokémon Go” and lost control of the car.
“That’s what I get for playing this dumbass game,” the man said to police.
Since one of the officers was outfitted with one of the police department’s new body cameras, the entire crash was caught on video. Police said they released it as a cautionary tale.
If you really want to play Pokémon Go while riding in a car, Mike B. from Hampden will hook you up. He even drives at the speed of egg incubation. Someone in Philly is even doing the same thing.
