Do More 24 is here to help Delaware’s top nonprofits. Here’s how to get involved

The 24-hour fundraising drive is an opportunity to improve your community.

The United Way’s Do More 24 Delaware, a 24-hour fundraiser that also serves as a showcase for some of the state’s most vital nonprofits, is on June 7, starting and ending at midnight.

The nonprofits include Delaware Hospice, YMCA, Special Olympics Delaware, Girl Scouts of Chesapeake Bay and Sunday Breakfast Mission, among others.

Why give during Do More 24 (#DoMore24DE) when you can donate to these nonprofits any day of the year?

The flash funding drive doubles as a friendly competition, where nonprofits can win bonus prizes, each up to $1,000, for raising the most money overall, having the most unique donors, as well as raising the most during specified times of day (“Lunch Break,” “Prime Time,” “Midnight Madness,” etc.). A Facebook “Selfies for Good” contest will also be held from 3–5 p.m. (See the prize page for guidelines.)

Oh, and another reason to donate during #DoMore24DE — Kia of Wilmington is giving away a 2018 Kia Soul to one lucky person who donates $100 or more.

The local Kia dealership also got Cleveland Browns safety and Wilmington native Briean Boddy-Calhoun to do a fun video to promote Do More 24:
