What should we ask candidates for Delaware governor and Congress?

Two debates organized by the Delaware Journalism Collaborative will happen in August. Here’s how to get your tech questions on the list for consideration.

There’s more than one election this November. Here is your opportunity to be heard by some of Delaware’s statewide and federal candidates.

Technical.ly is a member of the Delaware Journalism Collaborative — check out the recent four-part series on the Creative Vision Factory — and the collaborative is organizing two debates.

The first takes place Wednesday, Aug. 14, at the Dover Public Library and features the Democratic and Republican candidates for governor. We’ve invited contenders Bethany Hall-Long (D), Matt Meyer (D), Collin O’Mara (D), Jerrold A. Price (R) and Mike Ramone (R).

The second debate will be held Tuesday, Aug. 27, at the main branch of the Wilmington Public Library with the candidates running for Delaware’s seat in the US House of Representatives: Sarah McBride (D) and Donyale Hall (R)

Here’s where you come in:

We’re reaching out to Technical.ly readers for questions from the state’s tech ecosystem. If selected by the DJC debate committee, your query will be posed to candidates during the debates.

To submit a question, fill out the form below. We will be accepting questions through Friday, June 28.

The debates will be streamed on Facebook and YouTube, and recordings will be archived on Technical.ly and other partner sites and social media channels.

Also, stay tuned: DJC is partnering with the Delaware League of Women Voters to create an in-depth Delaware voter’s guide that will include reporting on issues important to local communities.
