The event is part of a statewide education and outreach effort focused on securing additional funding for clean water in Delaware.

While the purpose of the event is to celebrate all things water, the importance of clean water will take center stage. In late April, a Clean Water Task Force recommended that residents be charged a clean water tax, which will be used to clean up the water supply. According to officials, cleaning the water supply could cost up to $100 million per year.
Following the rally, which will be from 10:30 a.m. until noon, advocates will have a chance to meet with legislators from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m.
