Knight News Challenge: Camden org wins $450K to use data to improve healthcare

The project, called "Camden Health Explorer," was chosen one of seven projects to get funding. Nearly 700 projects applied.

The Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers hopes to use data to improve healthcare in Camden.

In its health data-focused Knight News Challenge, the Knight Foundation awarded the Camden organization $450,000 to build an open source website that will collect and display data “about healthcare enrollment, utilization, costs, and outcomes.”

The project, called “Camden Health Explorer,” was chosen one of seven projects to get funding. Nearly 700 projects applied, Newsworks reported.
