Donate to Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign in honor of your friends.
That’s the idea behind #BernItForward, which asks you to donate $3 on behalf of three friends.
It’s a project from Chris Barrett, the Collingswood, N.J.-based tech PR specialist, and Jared Wright and Carter Henderson, two Drexel undergrads who are taking the year off to work in NYC. (Wright’s at the New York Times, Henderson’s at livestreaming company Blive.) Barrett met Wright at PennApps in 2014, where Wright was a finalist.
The project is on Product Hunt right now. Barrett even got retweets from celebs, like rapper Killer Mike from Run the Jewels and Ben Cohen from Ben and Jerry’s, after he donated on their behalf.

“And just to be clear,” Barrett wrote, “we are doing this unofficially from the campaign.”
