If you’re running a city open data program, don’t get close with elected or appointed officials, said Philadelphia’s Chief Data Officer Mark Headd.
“It makes it more difficult to have the hard conversations when they’re needed,” Headd wrote in a blog post about what he’s learned in the year-and-a-half since he started running the city’s open data program.
