Mike Gionfriddo

Mike Gionfriddo is the CTO of D.C.-based insurance tech company Pie Insurance. Mike joined Pie in April 2019 and is responsible for setting the culture and cadence for Pie’s product and technology teams. Most recently, Mike served as the Chief Strategy Officer at BurstIQ. Mike’s experience also includes his leadership as the Chief Technology Officer of Blackhawk Network where he successfully helped Blackhawk IPO and grow to the fifth largest processor on the Visa Network. Mike was also a Distinguished Engineer at Sun Microsystems where he was responsible for the architecture of Sun’s integration platform and JavaFX. He graduated with a B.S. in Math and Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon.
