Emily Neil

Emily Neil is a digital content producer for WHYY News. She has been working as a journalist in Philadelphia since 2018. Her work has been published in AL DÍA News, Billy Penn, Generocity, IJNET, The New York Times, The Philadelphia Citizen, ¡Presente! Media, The Trace, and WHYY News, among other outlets. Emily is co-host of “El Café de la Tarde,” a weekly Spanish-language show for Philatinos Radio in South Philly, and works as an editor with Global Press Journal. She researched and reported on gun violence resources in Philadelphia for The Trace’s Up the Block initiative from 2020 to 2022. Emily is currently a 2022-2023 Religion News Service/Interfaith America fellow.
