Briana Wipf began her journalism career working at her hometown newspaper in a
small town in Montana. As a print reporter for five years, she covered everything from
bison and mental health issues to farmers markets and Minor League Baseball
mascots. She left her fulltime journalism career to pursue graduate study in medieval
literature, and she recently earned her doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh. She
publishes creative fiction and nonfiction from time to time and was even paid for it once.
In her spare time, she enjoys running, baking and going to Pirates games. She lives in
Pittsburgh with her husband, Jesse, and their dog, Roger Daltrey.
