Salisbury on the Eastern Shore is getting its first coworking space, hotDesks. The space officially opens June 26 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
As Technically Baltimore reported, hotDesks was one of five locations in the Mid-Atlantic (and one of 80 locations in the U.S. and abroad) to host the second International Space Apps Challenge.
According to a press release, the 1,800-square-foot space with workspace for up to 40 people is equipped with:
- 24/7 magnetic-card security access
- whiteboard wall
- network printer
- cell phone signal booster
- fax, copier and shredder
- a separate area for making private phone and video calls, as well as a conference room
- kitchen space
Soon hotDesks will also have a desktop 3D printer. It’s $150 per month for full-time members to rent space, and $20 per day for drop-in workers. The effort is spearheaded by Mike Thielke, the executive director and sole employee of the Eastern Shore Entrepreneurship Center.
